She's So Geek

Creative technologist, AI-music tinkerer, occasional bug-whisperer, and full-time Frenchie wrangler. 🐶

Hi, I'm Kristin 👋

I'm a creative tech professional with a soft spot for innovation, automation, and the kind of connections that actually mean something. I thrive in dynamic environments where I get to blend a whole lot of heart with a whole lot of technology — usually with at least one French Bulldog wedged firmly against my ankles for "moral support."

I love building efficient systems, coaxing music out of AI, and teaming up on thoughtful, purpose-driven projects. Off the clock, it's me, my very patient hubby, and two Frenchies who are deeply convinced that every hard problem is best solved by snoring loudly through it. Together we chase joy, growth, and the next great idea. (The Frenchies are mostly chasing snacks. And the occasional squirrel. And, once, their own tails — a saga.)

Fair warning: any typo you find on this site was almost certainly a Frenchie walking across the keyboard. I have chosen to believe them.

My Day, By the Numbers 📊

A rigorous, totally-not-made-up breakdown of a typical workday.

Debugging code that worked five minutes ago28%
Losing a fight with a merge conflict I started20%
Actually building something cool18%
Teaching an AI to sing (badly, then beautifully)15%
Rubber-duck debugging to two unimpressed Frenchies12%
Arguing with a regular expression (it won)7%

*Peer-reviewed by two Frenchies. They approved the methodology in exchange for snacks.

How I Fix Literally Anything 🛠️

A highly rigorous flowchart, honed over many, many merge conflicts.

A wild bug appears 🐛
Is it actually plugged in / powered on?

no → power it on → the humble classic, no shame

yes, of course
Turn it off and on again
Working now?

yes → 🎉 commit with an honest, tidy message

still broken
Read the actual error message. Then read it again, slower.
Rubber-duck the whole thing to the Frenchies 🪶
their expert feedback:
Snoring. Profound, unhelpful snoring.
Dig through the docs, the source, and one ancient forum thread
Found the root cause?

yes → 🎉 fix it & add a test so it stays fixed

not yet
Rewrite it cleaner at 2 a.m., fueled by tea
🎉 It works — and this time I actually understand why.

Snacks Consumed vs. Bugs Fixed 📈

A typical workday, hour by hour. Correlation is not causation. Probably.

Snacks consumed Bugs fixed
0 5 10 15 9a 11a 1p 3p 5p 7p 9 a.m. · 0 bugs fixed 11 a.m. · 2 bugs fixed 1 p.m. · 3 bugs fixed 3 p.m. · 3 bugs fixed 5 p.m. · 6 bugs fixed 7 p.m. · 9 bugs fixed 9 a.m. · 1 snack 11 a.m. · 3 snacks 1 p.m. · 6 snacks 3 p.m. · 8 snacks 5 p.m. · 11 snacks 7 p.m. · 14 snacks 14 snacks 9 bugs

The data clearly shows snacks fuel bug-fixing. I have chosen to accept this as science.
